J. Ryan Zwelling, OD, FAAO
Dr. Zwelling was born and raised outside of Boulder, Colorado. After graduating from The University of Colorado, she went on to receive a Doctorate of Optometry from The University of California- Berkeley in 2006. Dr. Zwelling then completed her dual residency training at UC-Berkeley in Low Vision Rehabilitation and Contact Lenses/Corneal Disease.
Dr. Zwelling has been practicing in the Roaring Fork Valley since 2007. She is well respected and liked by her patients. Besides providing exceptional comprehensive eye exams for the young to our elderly, her special interests are in keratoconus/specialty fit contact lenses, low vision, macular degeneration, diabetic eye exams, and glaucoma management.
She has become a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the Colorado Optometric Association.
When she is not working, you will find Dr. Zwelling chasing snow all over the country, mountain biking, playing hockey and enjoying our wonderful world with her husband and step-son.
Dr. Carter Morrison
Dr. Morrison was born and raised in Colby, a small farming town in Northwest Kansas. He went to Fort Hays State University for his undergraduate degree and continued further on to receive his Doctorate of Optometry from Northeastern State University Oklahoma, College of Optometry in 2024. He has extensive training in multiple facets of optometry including contact lenses, management and treatment of many ocular diseases, as well as training and performing laser procedures, and minor surgical procedures.
During school, Dr. Morrison was a trustee of the American Optometric Student Association and earned the NSUOCO AOSA leadership award in 2022. During his time as trustee he served as the student liaison to the World Council of Optometry and the Ocular Nutrition and Wellness Society. He is proud to continue his membership into the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association.
When he is not working, Dr. Morrison enjoys rock climbing, camping trips, golfing, and exploring the natural beauty of Colorado.
